The Opposition desperately wanted to stall the Special Intensive Revision.

All they got from the Supreme Court?

A set of procedural guidelines:

  • Publish the list of 65 lakh deleted voters on the CEO’s website.
  • Give reasons for each deletion.
  • Publicise the list widely in newspapers & on TV.
  • Allow aggrieved persons to file claims with Aadhaar.
  • Display the list at Panchayat & BDO offices.

Having failed to secure their desired outcome, the usual suspects are in overdrive, claiming “moral victory.” Strange — given that not a single RJD–Congress BLA has filed a complaint so far. All parties already had the list of 65 lakh deleted names.

And as for Aadhaar — the Court has only asked for it to establish identity, not citizenship. Opposition spin aside, this changes nothing.

Good to see them still dancing around, claiming a win that never was:
