The iconic Marina Beach in Chennai is getting ready for the prestigious Blue Flag certification, a global eco-label for clean, safe, and sustainably managed beaches.

During a joint inspection today with Team Chennai Corporation which is executing the work, it was wonderful to see clean sand, bamboo shades and watch towers.

As announced by the TN Government,Thiruvanmiyur, Palavakkam, and Uthandi beaches in Chennai will follow.

Work is also underway in Nagapattinam, Cuddalore, and Rameshwaram.

A total of 10 beaches in Tamil Nadu are on the Blue Flag mission ! :
