Karnataka Chief Minister Mr DK Shivakumar shared in a Social Media post:

Another historic milestone on Brand Bengaluru’s new path!

The 10.7 km long, fully signal- and toll-free ‘S.M. Krishna Road’ has been inaugurated, constructed at a cost of ₹631 crore.

This phase of the highway, connecting from Kadabagere on Magadi Road to the Challaghatta Metro Station on Mysore Road, has reduced travel time between West and South Bengaluru from 1 hour to just 15-20 minutes, paving the way for smooth traffic flow.

With S.M. Krishna Road, we are strengthening connectivity between South and West Bengaluru while making everyday travel faster, safer, and more convenient for commuters.

This modern corridor will ease traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and support sustainable urban growth. We remain committed to building modern infrastructure that improves quality of life and keeps Bengaluru moving forward, said Mr DK Shivakumar
