Niladri Bije marks the conclusion of the Ratha Yatra festival, signifying the return of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra to the Ratna Bedi (inner sanctum) of the Srimandir in Puri. 

It’s a significant ritual where Lord Jagannath offers Rasagola to Goddess Lakshmi to appease her and gain entry into the temple, as she initially bars their entry. This day is also celebrated as “Rasagola Dibasa” in Odisha. 

On the pious occasion of Niladri Bije, Mahaprabhu Jagannath, while returning to Ratna Singhasana, offers Rasagola to MahaLakshmi.
