HAL’s Koraput facility has the unique distinction of being one amongst the few aero engine manufacturers for MiG and Sukhoi series aircrafts in the world.
Appreciate its growing capabilities in avionics, aerospace, defense and other allied sectors.

Suggested the leadership team to work upon developing a robust MSME cluster around the Koraput facility. This will create large-scale employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for local population and also integrate local businesses into the supply chain of HAL.

HAL should also work upon developing STEM Labs in schools of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Rayagada.

HAL together with IIT Madras can also collaborate with Central University of Odisha, Koraput, to offer Diploma/UG programs in aerospace, defence and allied sectors. These initiatives will support and encourage innovation at the school level and help build a talent pipeline with advanced knowledge in aerospace engineering.

HAL, Koraput division is playing a stellar role in catalysing socio-economic development and boosting self-reliance in aerospace and defence. It is also a matter of great delight that through its CSR initiatives it is committed to sustainable development and is making responsible efforts to promote sports, skill development, education and green growth.

Also, encouraged the HAL team to promote Koraput Coffee, Kotpad Handloom and tribal heritage of the district in line with PM Narendra Modi ji’s call of Vocal For Local:
