I am extremely grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. When the suggestion was put to him, he was the first to not only allow us to proceed but also to facilitate the participation of private players.

He helped establish one of the most structured PPP (Public-Private Partnership) models in the country, setting an example for others to follow. We now have an interface called IN-SPACe, which facilitates collaboration between public and private sectors, as well as other stakeholders.

The Space Department has developed a model for utilizing space technologies in additional rocket initiatives. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi space technology has been widely used in various government schemes over the past decade. Programs like PM Gati Shakti, the SVAMITVA scheme, and the Smart Cities AMRUT Yojana utilize space and drone technologies.

These advancements are also applied across sectors such as railways, health, agriculture and soil, road construction, infrastructure, and disaster management, ensuring India’s strong presence in all these areas.

We will have equally critical participation from the Naval Forces and Naval Guards in ensuring the success of Gaganyaan. For the Deep Sea Mission, we have sought the support and cooperation of Naval experts. The year 2026 will be a fascinating one, as we venture both into space and into the deep sea.
