Our Govt is giving a huge thrust in the application of bamboo in various sectors. We have already mandated using bamboo as a construction material, we are building the first Bamboo smart city and also using it as a fuel, which will greatly boost our farmers’ income.

India’s first Bamboo Smart City

Assam aims to become the location of India’s first Bamboo Smart City, focusing on sustainable and eco-friendly urban planning. 

This initiative involves using bamboo-based materials for all future government buildings and other construction projects. 

The project aims to boost Assam’s bamboo industry, create jobs, and showcase the state as a leader in sustainable architecture. Additionally, it encourages research and innovation in bamboo technology.
