PM Modi while inaugurating the Vizhinjam International Seaport in Thiruvananthapuram paid tribute to Adi Shankaracharya on his birth anniversary, recalling his visits to the saint’s birthplace and Kedarnath.

He lauded Shankaracharya’s role in uniting India’s spiritual consciousness by establishing mathas across the country.
